Meet the Owner
 Lindsey has always had a passion for the creative arts.  From her childhood years she loved painting, pottery, sketching and photography.  She started her college education at Western Michigan University with a focus in graphic design and art history.  After changing areas of study to interior design, she discovered that Kendall College of Art and Design, in Grand Rapids, offered a highly recommended interior design program.  


Education: Lindsey M. Collins graduated with honors in May of 2004 from KCAD and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in interior design from their FIDER accredited program as well as minors in both art history and graphic design (print media).  LMC  Designs was initially established in 2005.  In recent years, the name changed to LMC Interiors.  Community involvement is also important to Lindsey such as participating in events with the local Chamber of Commerce or attending design seminars on the latest trends at the Michigan Design Center in Troy. 

Experience: Lindsey has been designing since 2004, with experience in the commercial and residential design industry.  She has worked at several design firms on the west side of Michigan, which focused on projects such as health care establishments, offices, and corporate restaurants.  Lindsey gained additional residential design and sales experience from working in several showrooms throughout Oakland county, including a tile and stone distributor.  Residential kitchen and bath projects grew from tile and combined with the cabinetry industry.  She's designed a multitude of high-end custom kitchens, bathrooms, and lower level bars for both remodels and new construction.  Her attention to detail, creative flair, and professional approach bring your style and personality to life. Outside of cabinetry, LMC interiors has designed great rooms, home offices, and other rooms using custom upholstered furniture pieces along with rugs, mixed varieties of end tables, lighting as well as accessories and window treatments.  From consultations choosing paint colors to designing an entire house through full scale color renderings and digital software, let LMC interiors design your next residential project!  

Design Philosophy: Within every client's project, Lindsey strives to have a balance of color and texture with style and function.  Inspired by HGTV, Detroit Home magazine, designer showcase homes, and world travel, Lindsey's personal favorite style is Eclectic / Transitional. 

Personal: In her spare time Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, as well as traveling, skiing, biking, boating and painting. ​Travel inspires her fresh ideas and unique design concepts.  She's a foodie and loves trying new restaurants downtown Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. Photography, art, fashion trends, and European architecture are a few of Lindsey's favorite loves!
